He got his love of restaurants as a busboy, when he was 9, in Concord, NH.
In 1975, Chef
Norm learned how to cook everything from hot dogs to lobsters
at Johnson's Dairy Bar, a famous New Hampshire eatery. He brought his family
to Texas
in 1980, and after running a couple of dallas's best restaurants,
opened his first restaurant and catering company, Backyard BBQ in 1992.
Norm and his staff operate on the simple premise that, if you treat the customer right and work for the love of doing a great job, the ownership of responsibility leads to profit.
